01
Information we collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect the following categories:
- Identity and contact information: first name, last name, email address and phone number.
- Property and request information: service address, city, postal code, property type, number of storeys, requested services and project details.
- Information related to our communications and service delivery, including the content of your messages, quotes, appointments and relevant service history.
- Technical information that may be processed automatically by our providers, such as your IP address, device or browser type, visit date and time, requested page and referring website.
02
How we collect it
We collect your information:
- Directly from you when you complete our quote request form, contact us by phone or email, book an appointment or receive a service.
- Automatically and to a limited extent when our host or form provider processes a visit or submission for operation, security and spam-prevention purposes.
03
Why we use it
We use your information only for the reasonable purposes listed below:
- To assess your request, prepare a quote and answer your questions.
- To schedule, confirm, modify and provide the requested services, and perform necessary follow-up.
- To manage our customer relationship, administrative records, and legal or tax obligations.
- To prevent spam, detect abuse and protect our website, systems and communications.
- We do not sell your information or use it to send marketing without obtaining the required consent.
04
Who can access it at Lavage JDM
Access is limited to Lavage JDM management and authorized employees or contractors who need the information to prepare quotes, schedule and perform work, respond to customers or maintain administrative records. They are required to preserve its confidentiality.
05
Service providers and disclosures
We disclose certain information only when necessary to operate the site, process your request or comply with the law:
- Formspree receives, filters for spam, stores and delivers quote-form submissions to Lavage JDM.
- Netlify hosts and delivers the website and may process technical identifiers and log data needed for its operation and security.
- Professional advisers or public authorities may receive information where reasonably necessary or required by law.
06
Processing outside Québec
Formspree, Netlify and their own providers may process or store information outside Québec and Canada, including in the United States. Information may then be subject to the laws of the relevant jurisdictions. We limit disclosures to the information needed and choose providers that publish privacy and security safeguards.
07
Consent and withdrawal
By voluntarily providing your information, you consent to its processing for the purposes described in this policy. Where processing relies on your consent, you may withdraw it by contacting our Privacy Officer. Withdrawal is not retroactive and may prevent us from responding to a request or providing a service that requires the information.
08
Retention and disposal
We retain information only for as long as needed to process the request, provide the service, maintain reasonable business records and meet our legal obligations. At the end of that period, it is securely destroyed or anonymized where permitted by law. Copies retained by our providers are also governed by their own retention schedules and legal obligations.
09
Security measures
We apply reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the information, including limiting access, using established providers and relying on the encrypted transmission offered by the website and form. No Internet-connected system is entirely free of risk.
10
Cookies and measurement tools
Lavage JDM currently places no advertising cookies and uses no audience analytics tool on this website. Our technical providers may nevertheless process log data or use mechanisms strictly necessary to operate and secure their services. If our practices change, we will update this policy and, where required, our consent mechanisms.
11
Your rights and recourse
Subject to the conditions and exceptions provided by law, you may:
- Request access to the personal information we hold about you and obtain a copy.
- Request correction of inaccurate, incomplete or ambiguous information.
- Withdraw your consent or ask us to stop a use where permitted by law.
- Request deletion of information that no longer needs to be retained, subject to our legal obligations.
- Where this right applies, request that computerized information collected from you be provided in a structured, commonly used technological format.
- Submit a complaint to our Privacy Officer or Québec's Commission d'accès à l'information.

We may update this policy to reflect changes to our practices, providers or the law. The version posted on this page, together with its update date, is the version in effect. We will provide any additional notice required when a change calls for it.
